School History

Crieve Hall, built in 1954 in the southern most part of Davidson County, has been referred to as the "best kept secret in Nashville schools." The tradition of educational excellence offered here comes from several factors - instruction, parent involvement and academic achievement.

Instruction offered by the teachers and staff has historically been and is currently exemplary. Students receive individualized instruction in reading and math, developmental spelling analysis, language, science and social studies. They also receive instruction in art, music and physical education and are provided with various opportunities to develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Parents are involved in their children's education with great enthusiasm and dedication. They serve as school-wide volunteers, support the educational process in the classrooms, and provide financial support through fund raising.

Finally, and most importantly, high levels of student achievement is a long-standing Crieve Hall tradition, established in the Metro Nashville Public School system for over 50 years. Everyone at Crieve Hall puts children first and works tirelessly to support development of their maximum potential.
